Meeting Your Needs with a Holistic and Integrated Approach
"Only from the heart can you touch the sky.” ― Rumi
Does your heart feel heavy or broken? Do you feel overwhelmed and not like your usual self? Are you struggling with anxiety, disconnection, or recurrent thoughts of the past? I create a non-judgmental place for you to explore how you view yourself and the world. I provide a warm and compassionate environment for everyone who is seeking help and support in their lives. Your values and goals will guide our sessions as you move toward self-discovery, growth, healing and connection. I offer a holistic and integrated therapeutic approach that encompasses cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and mind/body healing. By request, I can also integrate spirituality into the session with specific training in Traditional Islamically Integrated Psychotherapy (TIIP).
TIIP intentionally focuses on psychological and spiritual development to bring about a holistic balance within the heart of an individual. Modern clinical interventions are integrated with spirituality by acknowledging the existence of the “soul”. TIIP stands on the foundation of traditional spiritual sciences leading an individual to a journey of introspective self-discovery and creating a path towards healing and connection to God.
About me:
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver. I have 15 years of experience working with adolescents, families, individuals, and couples. I also supervise interns and associates. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques based on the needs of the individual. I provide couples therapy with a focus on both The Gottman Method and EFT interventions. I spent several years working and training at Khalil Center in the TIIP model. I am passionate about providing services to underserved populations, dispelling the stigma of mental health, and assisting parents to improve their family dynamics. I am always working to deepen my spiritual knowledge and self-understanding in order to better serve my community.
